Summary
- Sheetella reads advertising reports from the Google Ads and Meta accounts you authorise, and writes them into the Google Sheet and cell you choose.
- It runs inside Google Apps Script. Your report definitions and Meta connection are kept in your own Apps Script user storage. There is no separate Sheetella database for your report data in v1.
- We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or use Google user data to train generalised AI models.
- You can delete your saved reports at any time and revoke Sheetella's access from your Google and Meta accounts. See Data deletion.
Who we are
Sheetella is provided by [Optimect legal entity name] ("Optimect", "we"), [Registered street address], İstanbul, Türkiye, tax ID [Tax office / tax ID]. For personal data processed through this website and our support channels we act as data controller. For report data you pull into your own spreadsheets, you decide what is collected and where it goes; we provide the tool. Contact: [email protected].
Google user data
When you install and authorise Sheetella, Google asks you to grant the following scopes. Each one is used only for the purpose shown.
| Access | Why Sheetella needs it |
|---|---|
Google Adshttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords | Read reporting data and account structure from the Google Ads accounts you can access, so the reports you configure can be built. |
Google Sheetshttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets | Write report rows into the tab and cell you select, and reopen that spreadsheet by ID when a scheduled report runs. |
Sheets sidebarhttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.container.ui | Show the Sheetella menu and sidebar inside Google Sheets. |
Scheduled runshttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.scriptapp | Create one hourly trigger for your account so saved schedules can run. |
External requestshttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.external_request | Call the Google Ads API and the Meta Marketing API from the add-on. |
With these permissions Sheetella accesses:
- Google Ads: the list of customer accounts you can access, manager (MCC) relationships, field metadata and the reporting rows for the fields, dates and filters you configure.
- Google Sheets: the names of the tabs in the open spreadsheet, the cell you select as a destination, and the destination range it writes to. Sheetella does not read the contents of your other cells.
- Apps Script user storage: to save your report definitions, schedules and templates (see below).
Sheetella does not read your Gmail, Drive files, contacts or calendar, and it does not store your Google password or OAuth tokens outside Google's own Apps Script runtime.
Meta data
If you connect Meta, you sign in on Facebook and grant the ads_read permission to the Sheetella app owned by Optimect's Meta business portfolio. Sheetella then reads the ad accounts your Meta user can access (/me/adaccounts) and the Insights data for the reports you configure. Your ad accounts are never transferred to us. Sheetella stores a long-lived Meta access token, its expiry time, your Meta user ID and name, and when you connected — only in your own Apps Script user storage, to run your reports.
What is stored, where
| Location | Contents | Who can access it |
|---|---|---|
| Your Google Sheet | Report headers and rows you choose to write. | You and anyone you share the sheet with. |
| Your Apps Script user storage (User Properties) | Saved report definitions (name, account, fields, filters, date range, destination, schedule, last run status, row count and any error message), personal templates, the area last written for each destination, and your Meta connection details. | Only code running as you. Optimect staff cannot browse it. |
| Sheetella project settings (Script Properties) | Shared Meta app configuration (app ID, app secret). No user data. | Optimect administrators. |
| Short-term cache (Script cache, up to 6 hours) | Google Ads field catalogue metadata, which is the same for every user. No account or report data. | The add-on runtime. |
| Google Apps Script execution logs | Technical error messages when a run fails, retained by Google according to its standard log retention. | Optimect administrators, for troubleshooting. |
How we use data
- To provide the features you request: listing accounts, loading fields, running reports, writing them to your sheet and running your schedules.
- To show you errors and the status of your runs, and to troubleshoot a problem you report to us.
- To answer support, billing and privacy requests you send us.
- For billing, once paid plans launch: our Merchant of Record [Merchant of Record — to be confirmed] processes payment details under its own privacy policy.
We do not use advertising data for our own analytics, profiling, advertising, or to build products for anyone else.
Limited Use disclosure
Sheetella's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
In particular, we only use Google user data to provide and improve the user-facing features described above; we do not transfer it except as necessary to provide those features, to comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice to you; we do not use it for advertising; we do not allow humans to read it unless you give us permission (for example to investigate a support request), it is necessary for security, or it is required by law; and we do not use it to develop, improve or train generalised or non-personalised AI or machine-learning models.
Sharing and processors
We share data only with the providers needed to run the service:
- Google LLC — Google Workspace, Apps Script runtime and Google Ads API.
- Meta Platforms — Marketing API, when you choose to connect Meta.
- [Merchant of Record — to be confirmed] — payments and invoicing, once paid plans launch.
- [Email and hosting providers for optimect.com and this website] — support email and website hosting.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users. We never sell personal data.
This website
This website does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics in its current version. The contact form does not send or store anything itself — it prepares an email in your own email app. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security for up to [30 days]. If we add analytics later, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required.
Retention and deletion
- Report data you write to a sheet stays there until you delete it.
- Saved reports and templates remain in your Apps Script user storage until you delete them in the sidebar.
- Your Meta token stops working when it expires or when you remove Sheetella in your Facebook settings; you can reconnect at any time.
- Support emails are kept for up to [24 months] after the conversation ends, then deleted.
- Billing records are kept for the period required by tax law.
Step-by-step instructions are on the Data deletion page.
Security
Sheetella runs on Google's Apps Script infrastructure and calls Google and Meta APIs over HTTPS. Credentials are kept out of source code, spreadsheets and this website. Access to the Sheetella project settings is limited to authorised Optimect staff. No method is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under Türkiye's KVKK or the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to complain to a supervisory authority. Email [email protected]; we answer within 30 days.
International transfers
Google, Meta and our other providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. [Confirm KVKK cross-border transfer basis before launch.]
Children
Sheetella is a business tool and is not directed to anyone under 18.
Changes
We will post updates on this page and change the date above. If a change materially affects how we use Google user data, we will tell you before it takes effect.
